Black Movie Night

It's our fourth Blaxploitation Month and this was the first time both movies had the word black in it. This opens up a whole new world. Black Swan! Black Snake Moan! Black Hawk Down! Meet Joe Black! Men In Black 3! Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl! And Ab Lacker, the movie about a guy who lacks abs.

The Black Hole stars the recently late Maximilian Schell and Psycho II's Anthony Perkins. It was the return of Roddy McDowall (Laserblast), Ernest Borgnine (Escape From New York) but most importantly a fourth appearance by Robert Forster (Alligator, Vigilante and Dragon Wars). You've got at least one more in you to make The Five-Timers Club, Robert. I believe in you. Anybody have The Darker Side of Terror?

As dire as The Black Gestapo was it wasn't the first Lee Frost movie we've seen. He made the wonderful Policewomen. And surely you've at least heard of The Thing With Two Heads:

Rick Baker played a gorilla in it. Weird how that doesn't narrow things down too much.

No movie this week but check out The Burning at Madison's Central Library.

Here's what happened last week:
