Prison Movie Night

Seems like we've seen our fair share of prison movies at Bad Movie Night. Especially ones where the women are showering a lot. Forever showering... But! We haven't had a prison theme in over three-and-a-half years. That's as long as Jack Abramoff spent in prison for tax evasion. But he gets off scot-free for producing Red Scorpion?

You'll remember a year ago when Penitentiary II was dropped from Blaxploitation Month after the birth of my daughter preempted it. Well now she's ready for her first Jamaa Fanaka movie. We saw two others, Soul Vengeance and Street Wars before she existed. Those two are some of my very favorite bad movies.

Fanaka's first Penitentiary is fine but they get increasingly crazy as they go. By the time part three rolls around the main character is boxing a little person named Thud. So we'll skip the first one and head straight for the one with Mr. T and last Blaxploitation Month's Ernie Hudson.

Another BMN, low output, high put out (of quality movies) director is Tim Kincaid. You remember Breeders, Mutant Hunt and The Occultist unless your brain doesn't store awesome. Well, Bad Girls Dormitory is Kincaid's first non-porn movie (it follows Orange Hanky Left [which in handkerchief code means a top that is ready for anything]). It's a good transition movie, what with all the nudity but none of the penetration.

Here's what happened last week:
