Hunting Movie Night
This theme came together better than the night it's emulating. At least Mutant Hunt and The Bounty Hunters (AKA Revenge of the Mercenaries) both include the word hunt. I passed off August 5th of last year as Cheesy Movie Night just because both movies achieved a certain level of 80's camp. Just so you know: Camp + 60's = Barbarella, Camp + 70's = Sci-fi, Camp + 80's = Cheese and milk protein + enzymes = cheese. The circle of life, it moves us all.
Mutant Hunt is the equivalent to Breeders, Tim Kincaid's preceding movie. What it lacks in aerobics it gains in shoulder pads. What it lacks in women writhing around in goo it gains in underwear standoffs. What it lacks in not being Breeders it gains in pretty much being Breeders.
The Bounty Hunters has a very low Internet presence. It has a review at Bleeding Skull, the producer is profiled at Canuxploitation and is ignored most other places. This makes The Bounty Hunters the most obscure movie we have ever seen.
Here's what happened last week:
